Understanding every step

Go beyond the
correct option.

A good explanation helps you see the principle, apply it to the facts and recognise why the other options fall short.

LEGAL REASONINGILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Assume this principle: a person must take reasonable care to prevent foreseeable harm to visitors.

A shopkeeper leaves a slippery spill unmarked. A visitor falls. What follows from the principle?

The shopkeeper may have failed to take reasonable care.

HOW TO REASONIdentify the duty of reasonable care. An unmarked spill creates a foreseeable risk. Apply the given principle to these facts; an intention to cause harm is not required.

A little more clarity. Every day.

Wishing you focus, confidence and the best for your CLAT journey.
